FarmVille Galiceno Horse
FarmVille Galiceno Foal

The FarmVille Limited Edition Mexico continues tonight with the addition of two new Mexican animals including a Galiceno Horse and a Xoloitzcuintli.
The Galiceno Horse can be placed into your FarmVille Horse Stable and can produce a similar type foal, the Galiceno Foal, as pictured above. The Galiceno is a Mexican Horse that was bred from horses brought to Mexico by the Spaniards. The breed originated from horses brought from Spain by Hernán Cortés and other conquistadors.
The Xoloitzcuintli or commonly known as a Mexican Hairless Dog costs 18 Farm Cash. Although it is a harvestable animal that generates Farm Coins when harvested, it is not a “Pet” that can be trained to peform tricks like other FarmVille Dogs. Please note, FarmVille Pets typically cost more Farm Cash (or Farm Coins) and can be found underneath the Pets tab (Animals>Pets) in the FarmVille Market.
In real life, Xoloitzcuintli is a rare breed of dog native to Mexico. Historically speaking, Xolos (abbreviated name) have been around more than 3,000 years. Their images can be found throughout history in ancient renderings of artifacts and arts from Aztecs and Mayans where the Xolos were considered sacred. These ancient civilizations believed that Xolos were needed in the afterlife to guide the spirit of their masters through the underworld. You can read more about this interesting breed of dog by clicking here.
Both of these Limited Edition Mexico animals will be available in the FarmVille Market for just a short time before they are set to enter their retirement on July 14, 2011.
